In 1921, Vernon Moon and George Adrion founded the Moon & Adrion Insurance Agency in the Jacoby building at the corner of Broad Street and Central Ave in Middletown Ohio. Two years later, due to rapid growth the agency moved to 17 N. Broad St, then in 1954 to 119 S Broad. As the city developed eastward, and the downtown changed, the city approached the agency with an offer to purchase the building to make room for downtown expansion. Tom Moon and Joe Canter built a new building in 1978 on Breiel Blvd to accommodate for the growth of the agency and to meet the needs of the growing region. In 1975 J. Bryan Canter and Craig Moon joined their fathers in the agency.
In 1995 the agency welcomed the addition of Rob Kilburn and was joined by his son Kyle in 2007. In 2009 Talbott Moon became the fourth generation of his family to join the agency following his great grandfather, grandfather and father. In 2020 Katy Canter Davis joined the agency carrying on the legacy of her father Bryan and Grandfather Joe Canter.
Now over a century old, Moon & Adrion is proud to continue serving the community and it’s generations of clients. The agency has been recognized by the Chamber of Commerce, The Middletown High School, and several non-profits for Community Involvement and over 100 years of service to the people in the Tri-State Area. In 2010 the Agency was honored to be awarded the Big I and PIA Community Service award.
